Marlene M. Koenig (80) passed away on February 2, 2025 after a short battle with cancer.
Marlene was born April 28, 1944, to Fred and Emma (Harr) Koenig in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Elementary School and St. Peter High School where she honed her incredible memory skills for dates and weather conditions.
After a short foray into lighting, Marlene found her way to American Bronze Corporation where she served as a valued member of their office staff until her retirement in 2009.
Throughout her life, and despite her fear of flying, Marlene enjoyed traveling with family. Some highlights were her trips to Las Vegas, both Disneyland and Disney World, and her 1987 trip to Hawaii with both of her nieces. They beat a 12-inch snowfall back by 15 hours!
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, her sister JoAnne, and her brother-in-law Robert Arnold.
She is survived by her sister Geraldine Arnold, her nieces Barbara Arnold and Suzanne (James) Inglis, and her great-nieces Carolyn and Virginia Inglis.
Family will receive visitors at the Riczo Funeral Home (7462 State Rd.) on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 5-8 pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church (6750 State Rd., Parma). Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery (14609 Brookpark Rd., Brookpark).
