Marlene grew up in Southern California where she went to school at Whittier High School and later moved to the San Diego area where she attended La Jolla High School and eventually switched high schools to be with her love and future husband, Leon Moyes. Marlene and Leon were married on June 5th, 1957, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple and moved to Provo, Utah where they attended Brigham Young University and started their family of four boys, later to be known throughout the land as "The Moyes Boys".

Leon later taught school for over 35 years and became a well-known athlete, baseball coach, referee and umpire. After Marlene retired from the University of Utah, Leon also retired and they sold their home in Salt Lake City and moved to St. George, Utah where they lived until Leon's demise from a massive stroke. Both Leon and Marlene faithfully served many positions and church callings with the LDS Church.
Marlene and Leon are survived by their four sons, aka "The Moyes Boys". Marlene is also survived by her sisters Kitty Bryan, Karen Bryan King and brother Michael Bryan, as well as twenty-five grandchildren.

The Moyes Boys and Family would like to thank all those at Intermountain Hospice and Care Services for helping to take care and comfort to our beautiful and loving mother, and to all family members and others who stopped by to say, "hi" and reminisce with her. Even though she couldn't remember you once you left, she truly enjoyed your visits and conversation.
