Marlene C. Veneziano, age 76 of Stonefort, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Illinois.
Marlene was born March 31, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Ross R. and Annamarie (Krpalek) Moore. She married Alfonso Veneziano on July 18, 1970 in Chicago, IL. Marlene attended Tulley High School in Cicero, IL. She worked at Woolworth in the Chicago area until she married and started her family. She stayed at home and raised her two sons. She moved to Stonefort, IL in 2018 to live with her sister. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, cooking, playing cards and crocheting.
She is survived by two sons, Paolo A. (Ann) Veneziano of Belvidere, IL and Giuseppe R. (Kimberly) Veneziano of McHenry, IL; four grandchildren, Ellie Veneziano, Gabrielle Veneziano, Eva Veneziano, and Eden Veneziano; and two sisters, Darlene A. (Frank) Veneziano of Stonefort, IL and Annamarie Nolan of Casa Grande, AZ. She is preceded in death by her former husband Alfonso Veneziano and her parents, Ross and Annamarie Moore.
