MarQuisha Renee Moody was born June 20th, 1983, in Lubbock, TX. She was the daughter of Brenda and Hezzie Nichols. MarQuisha attended public schools in Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School in 2001.

She accepted the Lord at a young age and was very strong in her faith. MarQuisha was very active in her church and community.

She truly had a servant’s heart and love for the young people, and they loved her! MarQuisha had the sweetest, most caring spirit.

After graduation from high school, she enrolled at Texas Tech University, where she met the love of her life, David Moody, III. They were so in love and inseparable! The romance led to matrimony. They married on August 14th, 2004.

MarQuisha and David were married 21 years and were blessed with three beautiful children, David, IV (deceased), Zeniyah Micole and Zyren DaQuis.

MarQuisha went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in Psychology. She later earned her master’s degree from Lubbock Christian University in School Counseling.

MarQuisha was a Special Education Teacher at Coronado High School and Estacado High School. She was a school counselor from 2020-2025, in Lubbock ISD.
