Marsha Lee Moore, 81, was born to Constance Garcia McCaffery in Taunton, MA, and moved to Maine in the late 1970's, where she happily spent the remainder of her life.
Known as Vorh to her close family, Marsha spent the majority of her life in Maine on the beautiful Androscoggin River in Topsham, where she loved watching the eagles fly over the river from her window.
She held several jobs throughout her life but the majority was spent caring for other people. Whether it was being a DSP, an in-home care taker, or an errand runner for the elderly, she was always one to help and serve others.
She learned from the school of hard knocks and passed her vast knowledge onto her daughter. Always providing, always encouraging, and always finding a way to make ends meet on her own. She always had her children's best interest at heart, no matter what or where the circumstances. She was the ultimate DIY'er, especially when it came to home upkeep and repair. She never gave up.
She enjoyed cooking traditional Portuguese meals, including her famous Portuguese soup, fried dough, and liver and onions. She had a love for orca whales and the NY Yankees, and was an avid collector of Mrs. Beasley dolls, as well as vintage Coca-Cola merchandise. She also loved BINGO, bowling, and all things Christmas (if you know you know).
She was the Original Marsha Lee in our family, having a daughter and two nieces carrying on her namesake.
Marsha was a devoted Christian who regularly supported the St. Jude Foundation, the Alzheimer's Association, and the MS Society.
Marsha Moore is survived by many loving family members including her sister, Judith Leanues of Taunton, MA; brother, James Perry of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Marsha Lee Roy and son-in-law, Jim of Roxbury, ME; and son Greg Rose of Auburn, ME. She cherished her granddaughters, Maranda Burgess and her partner Colby Wadleigh of Bath, ME, and Rebecca Roy and fiancé Dalton Milledge of Bradley, ME; and grandson Justin Roy of Lenoir, NC; as well as great-grandchildren, Cianna Wadleigh, and Malorie and Adeline Milledge; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She is pre-deceased by her mother, her sisters, Barbara Amaral of New Bedford, MA; Shirley "Minkie" Thomas of Athens, GA; and by brother, John Perry of Los Angeles, CA.
Marsha Moore (aka Vorh) will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, even in the darkest of times. She lived a long, wonderful life surrounded by family who will cherish the lifetime of memories made with her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sea Dog Brewing Company in Topsham, ME at 11:30 am on October 11, 2025 for family and friends as she wished.
