With great sorrow and in the hope of the resurrection of Our Savior Jesus Christ, the family of Marsha Ann Gerstenschlager Wiggins announce her peaceful passing on Monday, July 14th 2025 after a 15 year courageous battle of cancer; at the age of 64.
Marsha was born to Marion Gerstenschlager and Barbara Collier and grew up in St. Charles, St. Peters and O'Fallon Missouri, with her brothers Dutch and Terry.
Marsha was married before God and with God to Gary Scott Wiggins on August 2nd 1996. She is survived by her husband Gary Wiggins, her step-son Brandon Scott Lopez, her father-in-law Don Wiggins, her sister-in-law Cindy Mc Reynolds and husband Steve, her niece Marlena, her niece Lucy, her brother Terry Gerstenschlager, her ex sister-in-law Brenda, her niece Teresa Sue and husband Jeremy, her nephew Marshall and wife Kat. Marsha touched just about every person she met with her genuine warmth and thoughtfulness.
Marsha loved all of God's creatures and nature, spending much of her childhood and formative years fishing, camping, hiking and participating in The Outdoors Club. She graduated from Truman University with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology. She loved her fur puppies Gussy and Baxter and will join them both over the rainbow bridge. Marsha enjoyed many years traveling and cruising and oh boy did she really love her St. Louis Blues!
Marsha deeply loved God and walked daily with Our Lord Jesus. Her devotion to The Chosen series made Jesus and his 12 disciples more relatable. Our home church, White Flag Church in St. Louis, grew her understanding of Jesus's mission of love and forgiveness. The Lord's sacrifice on the cross conquered sin and death for those who accept Him. Marsha is glowing in His presence now.
Marsha was happiest when she served The Lord by serving others. Marsha was knighted as a Knight Templar Dame within the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem, SMOTJ. Her dedication to service allowed her to shine God's love to many. One of her greatest joys was going on a Pilgrimage in 2016 to Israel to follow the actual path of Jesus's ministry. From renewing our wedding vows in Cana to baptisms in the Jordan river, Marsha's love for Jesus and for Israel grew.
Please join me in prayers for Marsha's peace and gratitude for Marsha's life.
