Marshall Snapp Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beckman-Williamson Funeral Homes & Crematory - Viera on Jan. 25, 2024.
Obituary of Marshall J. Snapp, Jr.
Marshall J. Snapp, Jr., age 77, fell asleep peacefully at home on January 18, 2024, with his wife Sheri at his side.
Marshall was born in Winchester, Virginia on May 11, 1946. He met his future wife Sheri in Chicago, Illinois and was married at St. John the Divine Lutheran Church, Chicago, Illinois on October 9, 1970. He and Sheri enjoyed 54 years of marriage.
He was baptized in Winchester, Virginia. His confirmation in the Lutheran faith was on April 10, 1960, at St. John the Divine Lutheran Church in Chicago.
After high school graduation he attended college and earned a degree in electronic engineering. He pursued that vocation all his life.
Marshall loved his hobbies which included ham radio, lapidary and astronomy. His priority was his Lord and his family. He loved Faith "Viera" and would discuss the sermon with Sheri on their way home. Marshall was very outgoing and loved talking with the members there. He was active in ushering and for a time the Bell Choir.
He is survived by his brother Randy and his wife Marcia, niece Rachael, nephews Brian and Alex, his beloved wife Sheri, his dear sons Marshall and Adam and grandson Soren. He was a loving husband and father and always said his three greatest treasures were his marriage and the birth of his sons.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled on February 10, 2024, at Faith "Viera" Lutheran Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Troy Countryman officiating.
He is now with our Lord with a new body and has received his crown of eternal life.
Memorials may be made to the family or Faith "Viera" Church.

Marshall, I will remember you fondly for always sharing a kind word or encouragement when discussing or mutual passion for astro photography. I also remember our discussions regarding Sheris family history here in Sweden, even from the same region where I grew up. You will be missed, but I hope your family will treasure the memories.
Your friend, Martin
