ARLINGTON, TEXAS - Marston "Marty" Wilmeth, 88, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Celebration Of Life: 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W. Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76013.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Genesis Sunday School Class.

Marty was born on February 3, 1937, the last born of the first set of triplets in Henry County, Iowa to Chauncey and Marie Wilmeth. He grew up in Henry County and attended Salem High School, where he met the love of his life, Louann Clark. The two were married on February 6, 1955, beginning a partnership of 70 years filled with love, laughter, and devotion.

Marty and his family later relocated to West Burlington, Iowa, where he held numerous jobs, including his role at Service Master, where he became Director of Environmental Services. In this position, he served hospitals across Iowa and Illinois before moving to Texas in 1977. He worked at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, where he received an Achievement in Excellence Award, helped launch Children's Hospital in Houston and retired from Arlington Memorial Hospital in 2001.

Outside of work, Marty had a deep passion for sports. He was an avid bowler, inducted into the Burlington Bowling Hall of Fame in 1976, and competed in tournaments across several states. He also loved golf, proudly scoring a hole-in-one at Squaw Creek Golf Course. Though he played in many locations, he always said that golfing in Fairbanks, Alaska, was his favorite. Louann eventually took up golf at age 70, joking, "It was the only way I would ever see him." Marty was also a lifelong and devoted Green Bay Packers fan, cheering on his team through every season.

Marty was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher for 30 years and was active in the Genesis Sunday School Class. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his warm and welcoming nature, and his joyful spirit that touched everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Chauncey Wilmeth; and his triplet sisters, Marilyn Ladely and Marlene Reid.

Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Louann Wilmeth; two daughters, Rosalind Diane Wilmeth Oster (Ellis) of Burlington, Iowa, and Michelle Wilmeth Hillstrom (Scott) of Mansfield, Texas; four grandchildren, Aaron Liby of Denver, Colorado, Kelsey Liby of Flower Mound, Texas, Ryan Hillstrom of Mansfield, Texas, and Evan Hillstrom of Mansfield, Texas; as well as many friends and extended family.
