Dennis was born in LaPorte, Indiana, on January 3, 1947. He was the middle child of Martin and Betty Wilmeth. Dennis was predeceased by his brother David (Evelyn), his first wife Mary, and his parents.
Dennis graduated from LaPorte High School with the class of 1965. He attended Indiana State University and went on to obtain a graduate degree in City Planning from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Dennis worked for the Federal Government as a city planner. He met and married Mary, his first wife, and to this union, one daughter, Katie, was born.
Dennis later married Karen Greenfield who he met in a social group. They were married on October 8,2006 in Olney, Maryland, at the Joshua Barney House.
Dennis loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean Islands. He wrote and published a travel magazine, highlighting the Caribbean Islands. Dennis and Karen took a trip to Europe and fell in love with Paris, especially the food. He always wanted to go back there. Dennis developed a travel website with many things that would be helpful to travelers. He was fascinated by hydroponics, which is a method of growing plants without soil, using mineral nutrient solutions in an artificial environment. He had a website dedicated to developing ideas for the alternative production of electricity. Dennis was a friend of the environment.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife Karen Greenfield, his brother Danny Wilmeth, daughter Katie Bianco (Anthony) two grandchildren Teddy and Ellie and sister-in -law Evelyn Wilmeth.
