Martha Bruce

Martha Bruce, beloved sister, aunt, and special friend to many, passed away peacefully at her home in Sun City Center on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born with a loving spirit, Martha touched the lives of all who knew her with her kind heart and compassionate soul.
After graduating in the class of 1962 from St. Petersburg High School, she went on to obtain a degree in business and worked in the telecommunications industry for over 35 years, until her retirement as the Southeast Regional District Manager of Sales with Alcatel.
With her late husband Bob, she travelled the world making lasting friendships along the way. Their favorite times were always spent at their cozy retreat in Sapphire, NC, and with family in WI, NC, and TN.
Martha and Bob were avid golfers and with their lifetime membership enjoyed attending the Masters Golf Tournament for many years. After moving to Sun City Center, Martha became a volunteer at the HCA South Shore Hospital with her beloved Ellie. She was also a member of the DAR.
Martha is survived by her sister Barbara Ribecky; nephew Robert (Rose) Keane; nieces Shelby (Doug) Holste, Lynn (James) Flom; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her sweet poodle Ellie.
Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, mother Barbara Boyce, brothers in law Edward Keane and Warren Ribecky, great nephew Bobby Keane, and several of her extended family in TN.
Interment will be held at a later date in Bristol, TN.
