Martha Compton Obituary
Ms. Martha Tucker Ramey Compton, 83, of Winston-Salem, NC, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at her home.
She was born to the late David Edwin Tucker and Mary Stewart on March 22, 1941, in Forsyth County, NC.
Martha attended Southfork High School in Winston-Salem, NC, before beginning a career working in the medical field for 30+ years. She would then retire from Hawthorne OBGYN, working in the administration department.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy T. Ring. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael E. Ramey; daughter, Sherri R. Buchanan; granddaughter, Tommi L. Buchanan; and grandson, David-Michael E. Ramey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Trinity Methodist Church.
