Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Martha Daigle, 75, who passed away December 7, 2023 at The Calcutta House of Hospice of Acadiana.
Father Kyle White, pastor of St. Leo The Great Church will officiate the funeral services. Her four granddaughters will serve as lectors.
Survivors include her husband, Kirby Daigle of Opelousas; two children, Gina (Jason) Rodrigue of Lafayette and Nick Daigle of New Orleans; and four granddaughters, Lillian, Ava Grace, Rowan, and Lilah Rodrigue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glannis and Felix Darbonne; and one brother, Joseph C. Darbonne.
Martha was born in rural St. Landry Parish and was a resident of Prairie Rhonde for most of her life. She was the owner and operator of Martha's "Kut and Kurl" of Prairie Rhonde for 45 years.
The family requests that visitation be held Saturday between the hours of 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Walters Funeral Home.
