Martha Osborne Dillingham passed away at her home in Clyde on Thursday, May 30, 2024.  Martha born in Washington, DC, on August 15, 1950.
 
In her professional life, Martha's commitment and hard work shone brightly during her 34 year tenure at McDonald's. Her dedication to both her career and her faith community left a lasting impact on those around her.  She was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church.
 
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Tressa Bennett Osborne, as well as her husband, Ronald P. Dillingham, Sr.; her daughter, Tami Dillingham; her sister, Linda Lacey; and her great-granddaughter, Knowledge.
 
Left to cherish her memory are Martha's surviving family members and friends. She is survived by her four sons: Ronald Paul Dillingham, Jr. (Becky) of Waynesville; Edward Dean Dillingham of Clyde; James Allen Dillingham of Clyde; and Teddy Matthew Dillingham (Valerie) of Clyde. Additionally, Martha is survived by her sister Kim Osborne Lewis (Steve) of Swannanoa; brother Paul Thomas Osborne of Black Mountain; brother-in-law Dennis Lacey of Banner Elk; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Kyle, Justin, Tyler, Tressa, Brandee "Alex", Autumn, and Zak; as well as nine great-grandchildren: Emsley, Nathanyal, Payton, Dakota, Pasileagh, Penelope, Martha , Presley, and Justin.  
 
A Memorial Service to celebrate Martha’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Byron Burnette officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.  


Martha's kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace and may her legacy live on through those whose lives she touched.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Women’s Cancer Center, P.O. Box 16948, Asheville, NC  28816.
