Martha L. Everett, 84, of Oregon, Ohio, formerly of Perrysburg Ohio, and Englewood, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Born in Greenup County, Kentucky, on November 27, 1940, to Warren Fry and Bertha Evans, Martha grew up with humble beginnings and a lifelong love of learning. She graduated from Morehead College and dedicated 35 years to Maumee City Schools, where she served as a high school language arts and history teacher before retiring as the librarian at Gateway Middle School in 2000. Martha was also an active member and officer of the Maumee Education Association. On April 1, 1962, she married the love of her life, Glenn Everett. Together, they shared many happy years and, in retirement, enjoyed their time in Englewood, Florida, where they were active members of Englewood United Methodist Church. Martha was an avid reader and cherished time spent with family and friends.
Martha is survived by her children, Andra (Chuck) Bell and Brian (Anne) Everett; grandchildren, Chelsea (James) Weber, Hunter Bell, Cody Everett, and Keith Everett; great-grandchildren, Addison and Riley; siblings, Gail Queen, Greg Sartin, Keith (Sue) Fry, and Sharon Hammond; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Glenn; her son, Derek; and several siblings
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 6:00 pm until memorial service at 7:30 pm. Private interment: Roth Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the Toledo Lucas County Public Library.
