Martha Elsie Gomez

April 21, 1938 – August 15, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Martha Elsie Gomez, affectionately known as Buela and Wela. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who departed this world surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 21, 1938, in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, Martha was strength wrapped in grace. She brought joy and warmth to the lives of everyone she encountered.

Martha was married to the love of her life, Luis Gomez, for an incredible 63 years. Their bond was profoundly rooted in love and dedication, serving as a beautiful example of companionship for their family. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, faith, cherished memories and loving bickering.

Martha's unwavering love for her family was seen in the countless family dinners and poolside days with endless laughter. She was a grandmother to everyone, always ready to offer support, a listening ear, or a comforting meal. Her home was a gathering place for family, where laughter echoed and memories were created. A devout Catholic, Martha's faith was a guiding light in her life, instilling values of love, compassion, and unity in her family.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Jusino and Ramona Martinez; her loving children, Joey Cintron, Reynaldo "Rey" Cintron, Luz "Mary" Cintron; her siblings, Hilda Lugo, Annie Jusino, Lluminada Pacheco.

Martha is survived by her beloved husband, Luis Gomez; her son, Adrian "Junior" Cintron; her sister, Rosie Cardenas; her brother, Nelson Jusino; her cherished grandchildren: Reynaldo, Jose, Isalie, Ricky and Edith Cintron. She was also a doting great-grandmother to Jovan, Jacob, Samuel, Makayla, Dominik, Analise, Andrik, Caleb, Solana, Louis, and Adonis Paz Barrita. She was also an adored Buela to her great-great- grandkids, Kayla, King and Adonis. Each of them carries a piece of her legacy in their hearts.

Funeral services to honor Martha's life will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory with Father Paul Flood officiating. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited for visitation at the beginning at 11:00 am. To honor Martha's grace and light, we kindly ask that guests wear cream and white to the funeral and celebration of life.

As we gather to celebrate Martha's extraordinary life, we invite all who knew and loved her to come reflect on the love she shared and the memories she created. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
