John Max Knutson, "Jack", 91, of Hoschton passed away on Thursday, the 14th of August 2025. Born in Marion Heights, PA, he was the son of the late Martha Woytowich and John Howard Knutson. Jack graduated from Grover Cleveland High School before entering the United States Air Force. He retired after attaining the rank of Master Sergeant on June 30, 1973. Jack then went on to his second career at Scientific Atlanta, retiring in 1989. In his spare time, he enjoyed a good round of golf, hunting, fishing and boating. A member of the Catholic faith, Jack was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Knutson Farrow and sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Knutson Crotts. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Cecile Knutson; daughter and son-in-law, Tamra and Harley Jeffery; son and daughter-in-law, John "Tommy" and Lisa Knutson; brother, William "Bill" Knutson; grandchildren, John Jeffery (Amanda), Chrissy Jeffery Kennedy (Fin), Ashton Jeffery Costanza (Steven), Sarah Jeffery Patrick (Chris), Ashley Knutson Spence, Payge Knutson Kikly (Joseph), Chandler Farrow (Natalie), Riley Farrow Matthes (Jake); great-grandchildren, Cameron Jeffery, Reagan Jeffery, Hannah Kennedy, Leah Kennedy, Carter Costanza, Ryann Patrick, Colin Patrick, Dayton Sewell, Dalton Sewell, Piper Kikly, Zoey Kikly, Kye Farrow, Storm Farrow, Paigelyn Matthes, Hayden Matthes, Sophie Matthes; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, the 17th of August from 5 until 7 o'clock at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Peachtree Corners, Georgia 30092. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday the 18th of August at 12 o'clock, Noon at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6439 Sprout Springs Road, Flowery Branch, Georgia 30542. Private entombment will take place at Peachtree Memorial Park.

The family prefers that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Prince of Peach Catholic Church, 6439 Sprout Springs Road, Flowery Branch, Georgia 30542.

I knew Jack for a very short time. From my visits with him I could tell he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Rest in peace my friend.
