Martha Jackson Obituary
Martha Switzer Jackson of Pauline, SC passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the age of 80. She was born in Spartanburg, SC on May 30, 1943 to the late David Winton and Geneva Ochiltree Switzer.
After graduating from Roebuck High School, Martha attended Cecil Business College. She was employed with Harrison, White, Smith, & Hayes for 45 years as a paralegal. Martha was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Gary “Buddy” Jackson; daughters, Karen Lawson (John), Crystal “Christie” Musgrave (Bubba) and Connie Jackson (Tucker); grandchildren, David Smith, Brad Smith, Bo Smith, Heather Patterson, Austin Jackson, Rachel Powell, and Dakota Lawson; brother, James Switzer; and sisters, Peggy Compton and Beverly Knight. Along with her parents, Martha was predeceased by her grandchildren, Conner Jackson and John (JJ) Powell; and brothers, David W. Switzer, Jr. and Larry W. Switzer.
Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 am on Friday, May 31, 2024 at J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am, conducted by Pastor Frank Taylor. Burial will immediately follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
