Martha Ann Lawrence, 79, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2025, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born on April 8, 1946, to Eugene and Emma (Kayser) Clark in Baytown, Texas. Martha married David Lloyd Lawrence on May 30, 1969, in Baytown, Tx, beginning a life filled with love, service, and devotion to family and community. Martha was deeply loved by all who knew her. Strong-willed and determined, she carried those qualities throughout her life, and they served her well in both her personal and professional endeavors. A passionate educator, she began as a teacher of children and went on to become a "teacher's teacher," mentoring and guiding others in the field. Although she was not a native of West Texas, she dedicated her entire teaching career to the children of La Marque, Texas, leaving a lasting legacy in their lives. Beyond the classroom, Martha was an active and devoted member of the Scouting community, shaping the character and leadership skills of many young people. She found great joy in her role as a grandmother, faithfully attending and cheering at her grandchildren's activities. Her love for her family was the heart of her life. Martha is survived by her children, Daryl Lawrence (Jennifer) and Laura Castillo (Tony), both of Odessa, Texas; and her five grandchildren, Joseph, Miranda, Benjamin, Molly, and Rebecca. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Lloyd Lawrence; her parents, Eugene and Emma (Kayser) Clark; and her precious grandchildren, Jacob and Isaac Castillo. Martha will be remembered for her unwavering love, her strength of spirit, and her wholehearted dedication to those she cared for. She will be deeply missed, yet her influence will live on in the countless lives she touched.
