Martha Ramirez, 88, of Lubbock, TX, passed away, surrounded by her family, on February 2nd, 2024. She was born in Robstown, TX, on October 24th, 1935 to Luz Mendoza and Josie Sanchez.
Martha was devoted to reading her bible every morning along with her other favorite book, her phone book. She was her very own telephone messenger! She never met a stranger, and she loved to chat. She enjoyed singing, and telling never ending stories, in which we all loved. She enjoyed spending her time baking, crocheting, sewing, and shopping. Her love for her family was immense and unconditional.
She will forever be loved and truly missed.
Martha is survived by 2 daughters, Beatrice Arriola of Shallowater, TX and Christina Ramirez of Lubbock, TX; 1 son, Rufus Ramirez of Ferris, TX; and 1 son-in-law Andres Arriola of Shallowater, TX.
She also leaves behind 7 sisters;1 brother; 15 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Ramirez; 2 sons, Benny Ramirez, and Danny Ramirez; and 1 daughter, Sylvia A. Reyes.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11th, 2024, at Combest Funeral Home Memorial Chapel from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12th, 2024, at Combest Funeral Home Memorial Chapel beginning at 11:00am.
