Martha Lou Thompson

Martha Lou (Merry) Thompson, 77, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born in Sandborn, Indiana on April 18, 1946, to the late Edgar and Mildred (Freed) Merry. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Thompson. Martha and Philip were married in Vincennes, Indiana on January 25, 1967. Martha is survived by daughters, Amber (Greg) Derickson and Nicole (Jeremy) Messer; grandchildren Nathan Derickson, Sydni Derickson, and Grace Messer; and great-granddaughter Mia Derickson.
Martha graduated from North Knox High School in 1964. She was a cosmetologist in Vincennes until 1971. She also worked as a florist and teacher's aid. Martha loved her dog, Charlie, and enjoyed spending time with her family. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Services entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel.
