Mrs. Martha Watts Henshaw, age 79, entered into rest on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Providence Baptist Church by Pastor David Bridwell and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Henshaw was born on August 11, 1942 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Buck and Geraldine Owens Watts. Martha was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered for her caring and outgoing nature. In her free time, Martha enjoyed cross stitching, and collecting dishes and figurines.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henshaw was preceded in death by her son, Allan Henshaw; brother, Bucky Watts; and sister-in-law, Margie Watts.
Survivors include her husband, James “Jim” Henshaw of the home; nephews, Allen Watts of Monroe, NC, Carl Watts of Pageland, SC; first cousins, Bonnie Hendrix of Pageland, SC, Jean Hathaway of Matthews, NC, Peggy H. Barron of VA, Rachel Funderburk of Pageland, SC, Sue Mangum of Pageland, SC, Ronnie Owens of Wilmington, NC; special friends, Mark and Tammy Arrington.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Mrs. Henshaw’s caregivers at Heart and Hands, especially Marie Izzard and Carrie Benton; and the staff of Gentiva Hospice.
