Martha Smith Webb

Martha Smith Webb, 90, of Bolivar, passed from this life Thurs., June 29, 2023, at Lynnfield Place in Selmer, Tn.
She was born Wed., November 30, 1932, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late George Will Smith and Ruby Frances Young Smith, living in Lebanon for over 55 years, prior to moving back here in 2007. She married Charles T. Webb on March 2, 1952 and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2003. She worked for 20 years for the Cedars of Lebanon and in the Social Security office in Lebanon for 5 years. She was a 1951 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and pianist for Poplar Hill Baptist Church. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed crocheting, flowers and was an amateur photographer. Mrs. Webb was active in Lebanon First Baptist Church and also in Bolivar First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Golden Sounds Choir.
Survivors include two sisters, Frances Sipes of Bolivar and Ruth Smith (Edward) of Selmer; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Sue Jeter. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Bolivar First Baptist Church.
