Martin Thomas Griffiths

Martin Griffiths, age 73, of Callao, MO, died at home on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Martin was born in Decatur Indiana on November 24, 1950.
He moved with his family in 1962 to Golden Hills Stock Farm Avilla Indiana. He graduated from East Noble High School 1966. Martin lived most of his life in Avilla, IN and moved to Callao, MO in 2012.
Martin was a life member of the National Rifle Association, American Quarter Horse Association, Fur Traders of America and Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association.
Martin was a life long-self-employed fur buyer, and Teamster. He enjoyed raising horses and dogs and collecting cowboy memorabilia. Martin was larger than life, he was a cowboy in the truest sense of the term who worked hard, played hard and often had a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Martin was a man of many talents and many friends.
He is survived by his wife Vickie Griffiths, son Cory Griffiths and two grand-daughters and one great-grand daughter. Also surviving is a sister Barbara (William ) Hosted, and four brothers, Dave (Joyce) Griffiths, Carl (Rebecca) Griffiths, Dan (Ann) Griffiths and Tom (Kim) Griffiths and 12 nieces and nephews.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Francis Griffiths.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Old Callao Cemetery with Minister Josh Stucki officiating. The family suggest memorials to the Callao Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
