Martin Lewis, age 82, of Indiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 1, 1942, Martin lived a life filled with devotion to family, community, and faith. He was an amazing man whose infectious smile could light up any room. Generous and selfless, Martin gave of himself without hesitation, always putting others before his own needs. He was an incredible friend to all who knew him—someone who listened with compassion.
He went to North Central High School and graduated in 1960. He had a long career as a manufacturer’s representative, selling decorative plumbing, and was a member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all his lifelong friends.
Marty was married to Jean, the love of his life, for 61 years. He was an incredible father to Caron Lewis (Pat Doughtery) and Jennifer Fisher (Mike), and the most devoted grandfather to Hannah, Jack, Julia, Grant, Anne, and David, as well as his great-granddaughter, Sutton. His sisters, Sorelle Ancel and Janine Rothschild, also survive him.
His greatest joy came from his family, and he will forever be remembered for his warmth, strength, and beautiful smile.
A funeral service honoring Martin’s life will be held on Sunday, August 31, at 11:00 AM at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, 11411 N. Michigan Rd. Zionsville, IN 46077
