Martin Joseph Quinn, age 84, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025. A devoted father, grandfather, and man of deep faith, Martin lived a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose.

He is survived by his children, Erin Cerf and her husband Skip Cerf, and John Quinn and his wife Jennifer Quinn. He was the proud grandfather of Kenneth Cerf, Damian Lockhart, Connor Cerf, Grace Cerf, Alora Lockhart, Reilly Quinn, and Madison Quinn. He was a devoted brother to his sisters Sarah Abato and Elizabeth Crumbacker and their families. A cherished "Uncle Marty" to many. Martin was preceded in death by beloved daughter, Mary Melinda Quinn, his brother Jerry Quinn, and his sister Mary Frances Brooks.

Born and raised in the Govans neighborhood of Baltimore, Martin was proud of his roots and remained deeply connected to the people and places that shaped his early life. He was educated at Blessed Sacrament School, Calvert Hall College High School, and Loyola College-institutions where he formed lasting friendships and values that remained with him throughout his life.

A lifelong Catholic, Martin's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He lived with humility, compassion, and a deep sense of gratitude. He believed in second chances, in serving others, and in the power of love and laughter to heal. More than anything, he will be remembered for the lifelong friendships he nurtured, and for being a steady, kind, and humorous presence in the lives of so many. He was truly loved by all who knew him.

He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous for over 31 years. His journey of sobriety was one of great strength, grace, and generosity. Through his unwavering commitment to recovery, he helped countless others find hope, healing, and a new path forward. His presence in the recovery community was a beacon of light-especially to those navigating their darkest days.

Martin built a successful career in sales, known for his sincerity, professionalism, and his remarkable ability to connect with others.

Martin loved playing golf and spending time on the course with friends. He was also an avid fan of college football and basketball, rarely missing a game and always cheering with heart.

A Catholic Mass will be held in Martin's honor on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00am St. Mary of the Assumption 1021 Saint Mary's Road -Pylesville, MD 21132.
