Martin Lewis Roberts, age 64, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025. Born on November 14, 1960, in Bethel Creek, Michigan, Martin lived a life defined by service, love, and unwavering patriotism.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Martin dedicated 20 honorable years to serving his country. His devotion to America remained a constant throughout his life-not only in his military service but also in the way he lived day to day. He took great pride in collecting red, white, and blue memorabilia and treasured items adorned with eagles, symbols of the freedom he held dear.
Martin shared 17 beautiful years with the love of his life, Geraldine Roberts. They were married on June 1, 2025. Their relationship was one of deep connection, loyalty, and laughter, grounded in mutual respect and shared passions.
Martin had a lifelong love for NASCAR, especially cheering on his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. Whether watching a race, sharing stories from his military days, or spending time with family, Martin's joy was infectious, and his spirit unforgettable.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine Roberts; his children, Jaiden Hamilton and Lili-anna Dixon; and his siblings, Rick Roberts and Cheri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lewis Roberts and Cornelia Rachel Williford, as well as his son, Nick Roberts.
Martin's legacy is one of loyalty-to his family, his fellow soldiers, and his country. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Martin's honor to the American Cancer Society or Veteran Affairs-causes that were close to his heart.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A service with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, on Tuesday, July 1st at 11:00 A.M.
