Marvin Lee Atkinson, 81, of Archie, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at his home. Memorial services were held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Everett Community Church in Archie, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Everett Community Church.

Marvin was born on June 9, 1944, in Everett, MO, to Howard Francis and Audrey Hazel (Vansandt) Atkinson. A proud graduate of Archie High School, Class of 1962, Marvin devoted over 20 years of his life to the maintenance department at Cass Regional Medical Center. His unwavering commitment and diligent work ethic were a testament to his character and a reflection of his caring nature.

Marvin was a cherished member of Everett Community Church, where he found spiritual solace and community. His faith and kindness left a lasting impact on those around him. A passionate outdoorsman, Marvin loved to spend his days hunting and fishing, enjoying the beauty of nature. More than anything, he treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren, each moment filled with laughter and love.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Edith Marie and Orma Jean; and his grandson, Seth. He is survived by his sons: Josh (Kim) Atkinson of Richards, MO; John Anderson of Archie, MO; and Paul Anderson of Kissie Mills, MO; his daughters: Deann (Dale) Shipley of Archie, MO; Leann (Jimmy) Gerken of Pleasant Hill, MO; and Tressa Atkinson of Archie, MO; his brother, Leo (Wilma) Atkinson of Archie, MO; eight grandchildren: Allanna, Alisha, Austin, Cara, Makayla, Bailey, Miles, and Hunter; and 17 great-grandchildren.
