Marvin F. "Buck" Berry, 89, Marion, passed away at 6:38 am on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Marion Health in Marion. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, September 4, 1936, to Fred and Mary (Mauller) Berry. On March 7, 1959, he married Rebecca S. "Becky" Colyer and she survives. After high school, Buck served in the United States Navy. He then worked at Anaconda/General Cable and also in construction. He attended Eastview Wesleyan Church for many years. Buck enjoyed woodworking and fishing. In his younger years, he enjoyed square dancing. More than anything, Buck cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Rebecca S. "Becky" Berry of Marion; children, Paul Berry of Gas City, Suzanne Berry of Gas City, Mark (Kimberly) Berry of Converse; grandchildren, Misty (Jeff) Holland, Brittany (Preston) Hall; great-grandchildren, Peyton Holland, Jacob Holland, Finley Hall, Easton Hall, Brennon Hall; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and his cat, Ladybug.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Berry; 2 sisters; and 4 brothers.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Buck's life will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
