The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Marvin Hillmon of Oglethorpe, Georgia will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at United Holiness Church Headquarters, 901 Aaron Snipes Drive, Americus, Georgia. Interment will follow at Oglethorpe City Cemetery.
Marvin Hillmon was born on April 16, 1973, in Montezuma, Georgia to Mary Florence Walker Hillman and Eddie McCants. He was reared by Mary Florence Hillman and Marvin Hillman. "Motor", as he was affectionately called, was a 1993 graduate of Macon County High School. He earned an associate degree at South Georgia Technical College and was certified as an HVAC technician.
Marvin "Motor" Hillmon departed this earthly life to be with Christ on March 19, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mary Florence Hillman, Marvin Hillman, and Eddie McCants; and one sister, Kia Hillman.
He leaves many cherished memories with his wife, Leila Hillman of Oglethorpe, Georgia; his children: Roychea Everett (Breana) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Tierra Blue of Kathleen, Georgia, and Marquez Hillman (Jada) of Meridian, Mississippi; his grandchildren: Cassidy Hart, Raelynn Everett, Raiden Everett, A'mori Smith, Jayda Baldwin, Kadence Hillman, and Kody Hillman; his siblings: Latonya McCants (Milton), Stanley Henderson, Reginald Hillman, Shaqindor Hillman, and Tijuan Hillman of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Rhonda Hillman and Sherri Hillman of Montezuma, Georgia, Freddie Allen (Cateena), and Gwendolyn Allen of Warner Robins, Georgia, Eddie Lee McCants of Daytona Beach, Florida, Reginald Wells of Andersonville, Georgia, and Eddie Terrell McCants of Honduras; a host of loving aunts and uncles; his mother-in-law, Ella Lucas of Oglethorpe, Georgia; sister-in-law, Latrice Blue of Columbus, Georgia; brothers-in-law: Floyd Blue (Shannon) of Ellaville, Georgia, Terrance Blue (Macuquita) of Columbus, Georgia, and Michael Blue of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
