Marvin Leiding Obituary
Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg, IL. He was born on July 7, 1951, in
Macomb, IL to Melvin and Nina (Kastendick) Leiding.
Marvin is survived by his sister Reba Leiding; his niece, Marah Korth; and his
nephews Evan and Aaron Korth. He is preceded in death by his parents and his
sister, Cheryl Korth.
Marvin's life was defined and limited by illness. In childhood he suffered from a
cancer-like tumor that was treated with aggressive surgeries and radiation which
fought off the disease but weakened his health. He never complained about his
illnesses. He was a solitary, undemanding person, who lived in this world, but was
not really of it.
Graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Havana, IL on Friday April
12 th at 11:00am. Reverend Brian Lesemann will be officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in Marvin's name to the recipient of their
choosing. Online condolences can be left for his family at www.hurleyfh.com.
Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
