Marvin Taylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chandler Funeral Home - Whitaker Chapel on Nov. 25, 2025.
Marvin Taylor, 81, of Gosport, Indiana, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter and community. Born on August 31, 1944, Marvin was a proud native of Gosport, a town he loved and knew like the back of his hand.
Marvin was a natural jokester, always ready with a one-liner or playful tease, and could make even the simplest moment memorable. He had a big heart for his community, volunteering at the local food pantry and delivering food to families throughout town.
He enjoyed scratch-off tickets, visiting with neighbors, and staying connected with everyone around him.
Marvin was predeceased by his wife, Patty, and is survived by his daughter, Amanda, son-in-law, Chris Batson, granddaughters Harper and Imogen, his sister Debbie Leitzman, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Marvin will be held on Wednesday, November 26, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Chandler Funeral Home-Whitaker Chapel in Gosport. An opportunity for friends and family to share memories will begin at 3:00 pm.
May his memory bring a smile to all who knew him.
