MARY JO ALVARADO

Mary Jo Alvarado, born October 1, 1973 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Manuel and Audelia Alvarado, entered into eternal rest on August 17, 2025 at the age of 51. She was preceded in death by her father; Manuel V. Alvarado, mother; Audelia R. Alvarado, grandparents; Sabas & Eva Alvarado, niece; Cherokee Elle, and her beloved "Ama and Apa. Mary Jo is survived by her son; Oscar Ray Lopez, daughter; Joslyn Lopez, brother; Jaime Alvarado, and Santiago Alvarado. Grandchildren; Ezekiel Salinas, Jeremiah Salinas, and Ximena Escobedo. For over 19 years of her life Mary Jo worked for Edgewood ISD, a job she really enjoyed. She was a big sports fan, who enjoyed watching football. Many of her hobbies included listening to her favorite 80's music and County. But more than anything Mary Jo enjoyed being with all her grandkids. Services are as follows: Sunday- August 24, 2025 10a.m.-3p.m.- Visitation to be held at Texas Funeral Home, 2702 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. With a rosary to be recited at 1:30p.m. ***All services will conclude at 3p.m.***
