Mary Avara Obituary
Mrs. Avara was born February 11, 1934 in Roaring Springs, Texas to Edith (Sampson) and Charles Brooks. She married John Avara January 14, 1951 in Roaring Springs. She was a Baptist, and loved church. She never met a stranger and had a big heart. Mary not only enjoyed feeding people, but loved being around people; she was always smiling and loved her family dearly.
Mary Avara passed away December 21, 2023 at her home in Denver City, Texas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Avara in 2020, two brothers, eight sisters, and one granddaughter. She is survived by two sons, Rex Avara of Denver City, Texas, and Jeff Avara and wife Rebecca of Balch Springs, Texas; one daughter, Stacy Sisk and husband Michael of Levelland, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
