Mary Madelaine Behm passed away at her home in Richfield, Wisconsin, on August 28, 2025, at the age of 89.
She was born on February 4, 1936, in Banbury, England, to Arthur and Ellen Kinnerley. On March 21, 1959, she married Howard Wallace Behm in England. In 1960, they began their life in the United States and shared many years fixing up homes and traveling before his passing in 2011.
Mary is survived by her five children: Mark (Debbie) Behm of Waukesha; Jackie (Ed) Shere of Princeton; Kevin (Arwyn) Behm of Columbus; Roxane (Jim) Flesch of Richfield; and Trina (Norman) Behm of Beloit. Her legacy continues through 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
She found joy in decorating, painting, and crafting. She treasured the simple pleasure of watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune with Roxane and Jim, listening to her favorite song I won't Let go by Rascal Flatts, shopping on Amazon, getting her nails done and eating at Culver's. A woman of faith, Mary drew strength from reciting Psalm 23.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be determined.
Mary will be remembered for her creativity and her love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
