Mary Jane Boynton

Millard, Nebraska formerly of Haywood County– Mary Jane Pressley Boynton, 72, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Lakeside Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.
Mary was a native of Haywood County, and a daughter of the late Glen Edward Pressley and Vera Mae Holland Robirds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendi Olivia Sense; two brothers, Bill and Glen Pressley; and a sister, Dorothy Baer.
Mary loved working with children as an elementary school secretary and she and John loved traveling especially to Mackerricher State Park in Fort Bragg, California.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John Charles Boynton; a daughter, Sharon Tramell (Jeremy) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; sister, Linda Heatherly (Arlen), of Canton; half-sister, Kim Gantt (Mike) of Crouse, North Carolina; and four grandchildren, William Boynton, Gavin, Logan, and Isabella Tramell; several nieces and nephews including a very special great-niece, Nastasha Beach.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2023, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Jeremy Tramell officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The care of Mrs. Boynton has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton
