Mary M. Buscaino, (nee Mizzoni) of New Providence, NJ passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by family, at the home of her daughter Christine on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 96.
Mary was born on March 25, 1928 in Summit, NJ. She was the daughter of Vincenza (nee Rondinara) and Vincenzo Mizzoni. Mary was a lifelong resident of New Providence. She was a Switchboard Operator for the telephone company before leaving to raise her family. Thereafter she worked as an Operations Manager at Reed Reference Publishing in New Providence until her retirement. Mary was an avid reader and always had a pot of coffee brewed and ready to go. She was an amazing cook and baker who loved sharing her creations with her family and friends. She was beloved by everyone who knew her and will be sorely missed by all.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank S. Buscaino and her siblings, Jean Mizzoni, Phyllis DeFillippis, John Mizzoni, Mike Mizzoni and Elvira Feoli, and survived by her sister Anna Galluzzo.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Nancy Connett and her husband Albert, Christine Holzinger and her husband James, and Mark Buscaino and his wife Renuka Bery. She was the cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Bein and her husband Marc, Natalie Cook and her husband Chad, Lindsey McKeen and her Husband Bryan, Malika Buscaino and Niccolo Buscaino. She is also survived by her adored great-grandchildren, Evangeline, Matthew, Olivia, Henrietta and Theodore.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ. Interment will be held privately at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit, NJ.
