Mary Ann Chamblee

Mary Ann Munn Chamblee, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born August 21, 1938, in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late John DeWitt Munn and Bernice Dukes Munn. She was married for 66 years to Albert Daniel "Dan" Chamblee, Jr. until his death in November 2023.
Mary Ann worked as a teacher's aide, was a member of the '56ers Club, had a strong Baptist faith, and participated in many Bible studies. She loved her pets, but her family and church were the most important to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary Ann was incredibly generous and kind with a great sense of humor. She blessed the lives of many.
She is survived by her daughter, Celia Duncan (Alan) of Hartwell, GA; sons, Danny Chamblee, III (Terri) and John Chamblee (Peggy) of Anderson, SC, Cliff Chamblee (Laura) of Hartsville, SC, and Andy Chamblee of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Daniel Chamblee, Tara Chamblee, Jillian Chamblee, Kacie Chamblee, Kristin Ryder, Jennifer Duvall, Nick Chamblee, Emily Knutson, Lauren Duncan, and Anna Duncan; great grandchildren, Brendan Ryder, Sabrina Ryder, Alison DuVall, Luke DuVall, Roman Chamblee and Paisley Gillaspie; and a sister, Jean Mulkins of Columbia, SC.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 12:30 – 1:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Michael Kinard and Rev. Donald Miller.
