Mary Jane Cisco

Mary Jane Cisco, age 91, of Peoria, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 10:30 AM at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 27, 1934 in Peoria to George and Mildred (DeRose) Behm. She married Robert H. Porter on October 1953 in Peoria, and he passed on December 21, 2014. Mary married Harry H. Cisco on May 29, 1976 in Peoria, he survives. Also surviving are six sons: Robert L . (Nancy) Porter of Pekin, George W. Porter of Peoria, Richard A. Porter of Peoria, Gary T. Porter of Peoria, Ronald (BillySue) of Bartonville and Corey (Jami) Porter of Colorado Springs, CO; 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: George and Jack Behm, and one sister Joyce Wenzel.

Mary worked as a waitress for Caterpillar Executive Dining Rooms at the administration building in downtown Peoria and East Peoria for many years. She enjoyed working and being around lots of people. Her blessed life was surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren which she loved and treasured. They were her life, and they will miss her deeply.

Visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Father Jeremy Freehill will officiate, and burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery.

Preferred memorials in Mary's memory may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation or St. Ann Catholic Church.
