Mary E. Clark “MaryBeth”, 85, of Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at her home.

MaryBeth was a native of Burnside Community in Neshoba County and graduated from Longino High School in 1960. She married the love of her life on December 29, 1961 and shortly after their marriage they moved to Michigan where she raised three boys. After many years they moved back to where her life started in the Burnside Community. She enjoyed quilting, planting flowers and cooking for her family, (you never left granny’s without eating). Above all she cherished being a wife, mother and granny. Mrs. Clark was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Granny will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Most of all we will miss hearing her say “Get in here and eat”. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Willie E. Clark; sons, Mark Clark (Brandi) and Dale Clark (Kim); eight grandchildren, Melanie Whinery (Johnathan), Bryan Clark (Mindy), Amber Weeks (Dustin), Ashley Dove (Chase), Heather Clark, Levi Clark, Tony Clark (Kaylee) and Adrianna Chisolm; 11 great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Nancy Alford and Jan Mardis; cousin, Annette Wall; sister-in-law, Sylvia Ellingburg; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by parents, John Wesley and Berline Dorsey; son, John Clark; nephew, Joshua Mardis.

Pallbearers: Mark Clark, Dale Clark, Bryan Clark, Chase Dove, Levi Clark and Tony Clark.

Psalms 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
