Mary Carol Cole, (Carol) passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 88. She was the loving wife of Paul F. Cole and mother of Greg Cole. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her mother and father Alvina & Walter Rosenhagen, her sister Ruth Rosenhagen, and brothers Ralph & Donald Rosenhagen.
She is survived by her son Gregory P. Cole (Kathy) of Ft. Thomas, her Granddaughters Ashley Dowling Cole (Brady) and Mackenzie Cole Manning (Jacob) and her great-grandchildren Jarrett Cole, Eloise Dowling, and Collins Manning.
Carol was born August 14, 1936, raised in Newport KY, and went to Newport High school. She met her future husband Paul F. Cole of Newport, (Newport Catholic High School) and they were married in September 1956. They moved to Ft. Thomas in 1957. Paul was a U.S. Army Disabled Veteran.
Carol Volunteered and was active at Youth Haven, the Veterans Hospital, St. Luke Hospital, the Ft. Thomas swim club, Redhats, and the Newport Elks. Carol was the first woman to become an Elk in the Newport Lodge in 1995, and was named Elk of the year March 27, 2002, and remained an active member until her health prevented her from doing so.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 10:00am- 11:00am at St. Therese Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am. Burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
Memorials may be made to the Newport Elks, in C/O the Veterans Fund, 3704 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Ky 41076, or the Disabled American Veterans, 860 Dolwick Drive, Erlanger KY 41018.
No flowers please.
