Mary Compton Obituary
She was born June 15, 1933, in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Silva St. George.
Mary attended Holy Family Catholic Church, her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughters. She loved U.K. Basketball, loved to crochet, enjoyed the Three Stooges and playing bingo on her iPad.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Compton, a son, Bryan Douglas Compton, two grandchildren, Christopher McDowell and Brad Ray; a son in law, Anthony "Andy" McDowell and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Phillip) Nunley of Grayson, KY and Pamela McDowell of Ashland; one son Mike Compton; one sister, Patricia Eide of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Lyle (Amber) Ray, Breanna Ray, Michael McDowell, Jeanna (Dave Shaffer) McDowell, Skye Compton and Brett Compton; two great granddaughters, including Lynnlee Ray.
As for Mary's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are under Steen Funeral Homes.
