Mary was born on December 4, 1921 in Creighton Mines, Ontario, Canada to Salvatore and Filomena (Coppa) Cuomo. Mary married Mario Coppa on October 14, 1944 in her hometown of Creighton Mines, together they had six children and were married over 56 years when Mario passed away in 2001.
Beloved wife of the late Mario; loving mother of Jane (Richard) Elzby, David (Debbie), the late Donald (Sue), Joann Anderson, Daniel (Sue) and Dennis (Marie); devoted grandmother of Michelle Elzby, the late Joseph Elzby, Lisa (Rob) Blenkinsop, David (Beth) Coppa, Dana (Lee) Williams, Andrew (Theresa) Coppa, Laura (Rob) Eddy, Shannon (Steven) Rogers, Stephanie (Donny) Mayack, Shellby (Stewart) Mayer, Daniel Coppa, Madeline (Mike) Lopez, Megan (Stephen) Thompson and Erica (Collin) Carney; adored great grandmother of Brandy (Andrew) Pidermann, CJ Coppa, Zachary Coppa, Kyra Eddy, Clara Blenkinsop, Leena Williams, Iam Williams, Aria Mayack, Scarlett Mayack, Luca Mayer, Leah Mayer, Bennett Carney and Rowen Lopez; and cherished sister of the late Sylvester (Alma) Cuomo, the late Rose (the late Frank)Arena, the late Philomena (the late Rod) McKinnon, the late Argia (the late Steve) Whyte, O'Landa Peltier, Martha (Pat) Zaccagnini and Sam (Kim) Cuomo
Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 12 Noon until the 5:00 p.m. funeral service at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank Road.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Henry Ford Hospice, or The Church of Jesus Christ, 12500 Plumbrook Road, Sterling Heights.
