Mary Faye Cropp, 78, of Lindside, WV departed this life, Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA.
She was born on April 7, 1946, on George's Run in Tyler County, WV, a daughter of the late Layman Harrison and Arline Vastia (George) Spencer.
Mary worked as a seamstress for many years at the Pennsboro Garment Factory. She moved to Lindside, WV and then worked as a waitress for Anna's Restaurant in Narrows, VA. Mary enjoyed sewing, going on drives, and looking at all the different animals. She loved her family and her dog "Buck".
She is survived by her loving sons, Michael Cropp of Lindside, WV and Kevin Cropp of Pennsboro, WV; grandchildren, Derek Cropp, Sarah Renee Cropp, Katie Cropp, and Ronald Cropp Jr.; great grandchildren, Damion Cropp, Coby Cropp, Seanna Cropp, SJ Nutter, and Brock Nutter; brother Oral Wiliam "Bill" Spencer of Big Flint, WV; special friend, Paul Blakenship of Narrows, VA; and several loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Cropp and sisters, Jean Owens and Ida Mae Thomas.
A service will be held 1pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at McCullough Funeral Home in Pennsboro, WV. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, in Tyler County, WV. Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm, prior to the service.
