Mary Catherine Doerr

Mary Catherine Doerr (Cook), affectionately known as "Cookie", peacefully passed away on March 19, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on June 1, 1924, in Wheeling, West Virginia, she lived a remarkable life that spanned 99 years and 293 days.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter Doerr Jr., her parents Charles and Margaret Cook (Combs), sisters; Evelyn E. McCormick (Cook) and Edna Mae Tubaugh (Cook), and her sons Charles E. "Chuck" Doerr and Lawrence W. "Larry" Doerr.
Cookie will be lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Richard D. "Rick" (Linda) Doerr and Jane P. (Tim) Robinson, daughter in law Cherie N Doerr (Chuck), along with 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who adored her. She also leaves behind a host of cherished family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence.
The celebration of Cookie's life will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, located at 154 Kruger Street, with visitation on Saturday, March 23rd starting at 10:00am and Remarks at 12:00pm. Graveside service will be held in the Chapel of Greenwood Cemetery immediately following.
