Mary Katherine Doersam

Mary Katherine Doersam, age 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2023, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 29, 1959, in Columbus, OH, to Sylvia (Salini) Demko and John Demko. She was a 1977 graduate of Columbus South High School. She was a Parishioner at St. Matthew Apostle Catholic Parish in Gahanna, OH. She began her career at 19 years of age working for The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, retiring in December of 2010 as an Asst. Supervisor of Unemployment Contributions. Mary was a lover of many activities; country concerts, her Harley Davidson, baking, gardening, boating, ceramics and camping to name only a few. She was adored and loved by many and was a friend to all. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Mary is survived by her sons; Michael (Katelyn) Doersam and Matthew (Chelsea) Doersam; grandsons, Sawyer and Graham and granddaughters, Rowyn and Collins; Siblings, Carl (Michelle) Demko, Luann Canini, Alexander (Elizabeth) Salini; brother-in-law, Danny Hinty and her beloved cat, Sammy. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister, Deborah Hinty.
Mary's family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 5 to 8:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Matthew The Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 with Fr. Ted Sill celebrating.
