Mary Agnes Harger

Mary Agnes (Doyle) Harger, passed peacefully on August 8, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on January 14, 1942, in St. Johns, Michigan, Mary was one of four children of Raymond E. and Agnes (Wohlscheid) Doyle, Sr. After her mother's passing when Mary was young, she was lovingly raised by her father and stepmother, Josephine Doyle.

A graduate of Rodney B. Wilson High School, Mary went on to earn an associate's degree through Lansing Community College's flight program and later obtained a degree in massage therapy. Her life was defined by resilience, ambition, and care for others.

Mary worked in loss prevention and management with the South Pennsylvania Meijer while raising her children as a single mother. During this time, she pursued and earned her pilot's license-an accomplishment she was immensely proud of. A skilled pilot of single-engine airplanes, Mary's love of aviation reflected her adventurous spirit and determination.

Later, she worked as a massage therapist in Dr. Jamieson's office in Lansing before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. There, she worked in a casino and continued to help others through her work in the public school system and as a massage therapist, where she dedicated over 20 years of service.

Five years ago, Mary returned to Michigan to live with her son, Randy. She was deeply devoted to her family and had a quiet strength, endless patience, and an unwavering love for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Sandy) Walling, Randy (Alicia Wilson-Eaton) Walling, Michelle (Herschel) West, and Nicole (Brent) Carter; her grandchildren, Robert W. Walling, Ayden (Nicholas) Walling Odell, Nate Cranson, Andy (Meghan) Cranson, Tyler Janes, Olivia (Collin) Blake, Jordon Walling, Ethan Walling, Ruby Walling, Corey West, Josh West, Marissa West, Elijah West, Luke Carter, and Ruby Carter; great-grandchildren, Ricky Mila Roberts, Lilly Odell, Annabelle Janes, Cameron Cranson, and Blake Cranson; her sister, Bernice (the late Stan) Fedewa; and her brother, Raymond Doyle, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Doyle.

Visitation will be held at McGeehan Funeral Home, 1500 Waterford Parkway, St. Johns, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns.
