Mary Elizabeth "Lib" - age 94 of Knoxville, formerly of Tampa, FL passed away Wednesday, March 16 2022. Lib was born in Tampa, FL she and her loving husband of 68 years Bob, met as children. Lib went to Duke University and graduated from the University of Florida. After Lib and Bob were married they moved to Knoxville where Lib was a school teacher for over 40 years. Upon retirement Lib and Bob traveled extensively and had a vacation home in Destin Florida. She and Bob both attended Central Baptist Bearden Church. Lib affectionately known as Gaga to her grandchildren and great grandchildren was a kind woman. She loved the beach, loved her friends, and loved spending time with family.
Lib is survived by her daughter and son in law Karen Dale Drew Adams and husband Robert; son and daughter in law Randall Allen Drew and wife Eileen "Bo". Grandchildren Drew Lebaron Adams, Dylan Emory Adams, Erin Marie Drew Hunter, Molly Elizabeth Drew Carney, 10 great grandchildren, and many extended family..
Lib's family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday, March 23rd at Rose Funeral & Cremation – Mann, followed immediately by a 11 am service celebrating Lib's life with Rev. Mark Moreland officiating. Family and friends will then gather at East TN Veterans Cemetery John Sevier Hwy for the interment service. Memorials in Lib's name may be made to a veterans charity of your choice. Arrangements by Rose Funeral and Cremation - Mann. Online condolences at www.rosefuneraltn.com.
