Dr. Matthew Bryan Storey

Dr. Matthew Bryan Storey, DVM, 67, of Mims, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Born January 28, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Dr. Ben and Mary Storey, Matt grew up known for his quiet nature, his dedication to fitness, and his healthy lifestyle. His family affectionately called him "Hercules" for his strength and determination.

Matt was a proud Florida Gator, having played for the University of Florida and remained a lifelong fan of Gator athletics. He loved watching any Gator sport and carried that passion throughout his life.

A man of many talents, Matt enjoyed building and working with his hands-constructing everything from chicken coops to barns. He loved to travel, rode horses, and earned a 2nd-degree black belt in Karate, which he enjoyed teaching to others.

Dr. Storey dedicated his professional life to caring for animals as a large animal veterinarian. His compassion, strength, and skill touched countless lives, both human and animal alike. A cancer survivor, Matt's perseverance and faith grew stronger in his later years, and he found deep comfort and purpose in his relationship with God.

Matt is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Terilynn Storey; his sons Calvin Storey and Blake Storey; stepchildren Catherine Harris and Adam Harris; grandchildren Lily, August, and Will; his mother Mary Storey; brothers Dr. Mark Storey, MD, Todd Storey, and Dr. Troy Storey, MD; sister Monique Muldowney; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Ben Storey, MD.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at North Brevard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at PATH Apostolic Church.

Matt will be remembered for his strength, his compassion, his love for animals, and his unwavering faith.
