Mary Sue Dry, aged 54, passed away on June 23, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on July 5, 1971, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to the late William and Lila (Gritts) Dry. Mary was a vibrant soul whose warmth and creativity touched the lives of all who knew her.
She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at MSSU. Mary was a lover of life's simple pleasures, she found happiness in the melody of live music, the tranquility of floating at the creek, the thrill of discovering treasures while antiquing, road trips and joy rides, and watching movies with her family. Her artistic side shone brightly through her adult coloring books and decorating.
Mary's nurturing spirit was most evident in the way she cared for her children. She was their rock, their confidante, and their biggest cheerleader. Her guidance and love shaped them into the individuals they are today, and her legacy will continue to live on through them.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Holcombe; children, Christopher Holcombe and Amanda Holcombe; and sister, Nancy Dry.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
