Mary Ellen Dykema, 89, of Muskegon, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025. Mary was born January 23, 1936, the daughter of William and Goldie Stapel. She married Raymond Dykema in 1958 and together they enjoyed nearly 40 years of marriage until his death in 1996. Mary was a founding member of Westwood Reformed Church and later a member of Unity Reformed Church. She was also a member of the White Lake Golf Club. Mary enjoyed golfing, tennis, reading, gardening, and was a sports fanatic. Mary was a quiet, thoughtful, loving person that had a special way of making everyone feel like her favorite. She will be deeply missed.
SURVIVORS
Children, Tony (Cindy) Dykema, Jacqueline (Kevin) Deasy, Julie (Scott) Russell; grandchildren, Scot (TJ), Kari (Dan), Keli (Ryan), Samantha (Tim), Lauren (Robert), Emily (Devin), Valerie (Grant), Matthew (Molly), Andrea (Eric), and Alex; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Leona (Leon) Twiss; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; granddaughter, Kali; and brother Bill.
SERVICES
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Unity Reformed Church 1521 Porter Road Norton Shores. Visitation will take place Monday evening from 4-7pm at Clock Funeral Home 1469 Peck Street Muskegon. Visitation will also take place 1 hour prior to the start of the service at church. Interment will be at Spring Lake Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Unity Reformed Church. Donation envelopes will be available at the visitation and service. Donations may also be made by visiting https://tinyurl.com/MaryDykema
